Mindfulness: the power to heal the heart
Live 2012 with the compassionate heart of a Buddha

Mindfulness with Heart

In this mindfulness workshops led by Tanya, you will learn about the 2,500 year old wisdom practices found in Buddhism that heal the heart.  This workshop will emphasize the practice of Compassion which is both cherished and said to be sublime.  Most of us struggle in some relationships with how to take care of ourselves while remaining open hearted and kind.  We may experience feelings of resentment & anger over past hurts and these feelings can block our ability to heal and relate to our lives with the foundation of trust necessary for expressing love.  Compassion is among the great relievers of anxiety, the great peace-makers in interpersonal conflict, and the great healers of wounds & trauma's suffered in life.  True "compassion is not foolish"  Jack Kornfield writes, compassion "doesn't just go along with what others want so they don't feel bad.  There is a yes in compassion, and there is also a no, said with the same courage of heart."  Compassion practice supports us in finding the strength, grounding and balance necessary to be both open hearted and wise so that we protect and value ourselves as well as others.
